This painting was created from the adage “PULL YOURSELF UP BY YOUR BOOTS STRAPS.” I believe until you walk in someone else’s boots, slippers, high heels, baby shoes, or homelessness folk's worn-out dirty shoes, don’t tell anybody to pull themselves up by the bootstraps until you’ve lived their life as they had to. It is easy to dole out unsolicited advice if you haven’t gone through what they’ve experienced.
